Crowned Heads has announced Blood Medicine Limited Edition 2024, a tribute to the company’s hometown of Nashville, TN.
Blood Medicine was first launched as an event only cigar with a production of only 6,000 cigars. The cigar would lay dormant until 2022 when it was revived once again as an event only cigar.
“To this point, we’ve only utilized ‘Blood Medicine’ as an event-only, gift with purchase cigar. And always in a traditional 5 x 50 robusto vitola,” commented Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber. “The blend has always been truly exceptional, and based upon the inquiries and feedback I was personally receiving, I felt as though not enough people were receiving the opportunity to enjoy it. So late last year, we decided to take the blend, adjust it to 6 x 52 and make it available internationally.”
Blood Medicine takes its name from a three story building located in downtown Nashville. Originally built at a three-floor pharmacy in 1872 it was converted to a hotel in 1892. The hotel operated until the 1980s before being sold and opened back up in 1988 as Merchants Restaurant. The building has hosted the likes of Hank Williams, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline. On the original exposed brick wall of the third floor a portion of the words, Blood Medicine are still visible.
The Blood Medicine LE will be limited to 1,500 boxes of 12 cigars with a MSRP of $11.95 before any local or state taxes. It is comprised of a Ecuador Habano wrapper, Ecuador Connecticut binder and fillers from Nicaragua.
It will be produced at TacaNicsa in Esteli, Nicaragua by Radio Pichardo and ship at the end of March ’24.
